Jonathan Hind
FOUNDING DIRECTOR
Jonathan has spent his career working in the construction and infrastructure sector, before Co-founding Ecofit as a way of driving decarbonisation and community wealth building across the region.
As well as managing day to day operations he project manages the organisation’s decarbonisation projects including Our Sheffield Farm - the decarbonisation of Sheffield dairy farm Our Cow Molly.

Julia Smyrnowa
TECHNICAL LEAD
Julia (PhD, MSc, MIOA) is our lead PAS2035 assessor, with a decade’s experience in reducing carbon emissions and energy costs in domestic properties.
Julia is passionate about building partnerships that broaden participation in the construction industry and advocates for the use of sustainable materials in our work.

Claire Taylor
ARCHITECT & DESIGN LEAD
Claire leads our in-house design team ensuring plans are beautiful as well as energy efficient. She did her Part 2 at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales which was formative in terms of her thinking about sustainable and environmental design and using natural materials. Before working at SY Ecofit she worked for a local architectural practice on retrofit and renovation projects in and around Sheffield.

Judi Greenwood
DIRECTOR & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS LEAD
Judi is a heritage, regeneration and retrofit professional with a broad network across the property and construction industry. Her most ambitious retrofit project has been a Grade 2 derelict town centre building in Conwy, North Wales in collaboration with Conwy County Borough Council.
Judi has worked with Future of Greater Manchester and Women in Property to broaden participation in property and construction.

Roscoe Blevins
LEAD INSTALLER
Roscoe is an artisan and has nearly 10 years of experience in joinery as well as retrofit installations using conventional and sustainable materials.
He’s responsible for making sure we deliver efficiently and ‘right first time’ on site. Roscoe is embedded in the South Yorkshire community and has an extensive local professional network.

Alice Grant
DIRECTOR & COMMUNITY RETROFIT LEAD
Alice specialises in strategic conservation retrofit at a neighbourhood scale. As Architectural Lead for Nottingham Energy Partnership’s Green Meadows project, Alice worked on community retrofit projects and engaged the local community through education, bespoke resources and training.
As project architect at UK Hempcrete’s design practice, Alice designed and launched their Retrofit Right service. Alice is also a board member of Sheffield Community Land Trust. Alice studied at Glasgow School of Art and the University of Sheffield.

Alex Jude
ASSESSOR & DIGITAL MARKETING
Alex joined Ecofit as a passionate home-retrofitter with a background in education and marketing and is passionate about communicating our passion and expertise.
Alex has completed Level 2 Understanding Domestic Retrofit and Level 3 Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings.

Hannah MacPhail
RETROFIT PROJECT COORDINATOR
Hannah joined Ecofit in 2024 having completed a masters in Sustainable Energy Provision at the Centre for Alternative Technology which included a placement focused on the use of traditional building materials and deepened her commitment to community-led energy solutions.

Teresa Games
PROJECT INSTALLATION LEAD
Teresa joined Ecofit in 2025, bringing hands-on experience in housing retrofit, and energy efficient construction. This includes managing inclusive community-based projects, helping communities access sustainable solutions that reduce energy costs and improve quality of life. She ensures high-quality retrofit projects with lasting environmental and social benefits.

Lizzie Stygall
PROJECT DEVELOPER
Lizzie has worked as a funding and projects manager with start-ups and SMEs, guiding projects ranging from sustainable transport solutions to deep tech.
She’s passionate about sustainability and community, and has joined Ecofit to work on our Clean Energy and Exemplar (projects) teams.
